The details of the changes are as follows.
Photo Library Fix for iOS 5
- You can preview and paste photos edited in “Photo” app
- Some preview images were shown in wrong direction fixed
Crushes on viewing a note with very long text fixed (100KB over, iOS 5)
“Re-Sync” function added
You can access the function from “Advanced Settings” of “Google Settings”.
It moves all notes and folders in RainbowNote to trash, then re-get all notes and folders in the sync target folder in Google Docs.
Other Changes
- Fixed: Some unicode emojis are removed from downloaded notes (Google’s server side problem).
- Fixed: All characters in mail changes to “?” when emoji is at the end of a line.
- Fixed: Bottom toolbar not correctly shown if you rotate your iPhone while searching replacing a note in editor.
RainbowNote v2.4 released!
November 1, 2011New version of RainbowNote (v.2.4) is now available in AppStore.
This version is mainly for the fix of the Google Sync problem on iOS5 we previously post.
Please download the update if you had the problem.
Google Sync Problem Fixed
Syncing, importing and exporting problems which didn’t work on iOS5 have been fixed.
Google Auth Changed
Login way is changed to more secure and stable one (OAuth2). Please re-enter your Google ID and password after upgrade.
Other Changes
- Fixed: Bugs on background select UI on editor (iOS5).
- Fixed: Wood theme has no background image (iOS5).
- Black keyboard has been removed.
RainbowNote iOS5 problem
October 15, 2011Syncing, Importing and Exporting to Google Docs doesn’t work in current version of RainbowNote (Only exporting a text without picture works). We are working to fix it as soon as possible. Sorry for inconvenience.

Lots of new features added like Search and Replace in editor, Reorder Notes, Address Search for Map, Direct Jump to Home Folder, Black Keyboard, etc.

What’s new in Version 2.2
Search and Replace
- Edit Page now supports Search and Replace (iOS4〜)
- Auto focus to search word in Edit page if the note is shown from search result
- 10 level undo / redo for replace
- Option for case sensitive search
- Choose search word from search history (long press the grass icon in search area to access search menu)
Note Management
- You can customize the order of items in each folder
- “Move directly to Home folder” button added in List page
- Quick Access page to recent notes, folder tree etc (Shown by long pressing “move to parent folder” button)
- Auto apply sort order to the note currently editing
Map View
- Address Search in “Add Map” page
- Option added for show center pin on captured map

- Black keyboard (iOS4 + iPhone3GS〜) You can choose the appearance in “Theme” setting menu

Problem Soleved: Can’t sync and import from Google Docs (RainbowNote)
February 4, 2011The sync and import problem on Google Docs we announced yesterday has solved, as Google rolled-back the specification change caused them. You can use sync and import feature as before.
We stopped registering emergency update for the problem. Instead, the incoming version of RainbowNote (version 2.2) includes the update to prepare the change.

February 3, 2011Currently, RainbowNote can’t sync and import from Google Docs since Feb 2, as the service has changed the specification recently.
We are now testing the fix version for the problem and going to register it to AppStore today. Sorry for inconvenience.
RainbowNote Lite is ready

The limitation of the lite version is you can create up to 10 notes including trashed ones. You can try all functions of RainbowNote with the free version!

The major feature of the version up is AirPrint Support. You can print your note with images and maps to your printer via Wi-Fi.
