RainbowNote 1.6 supports inter-app collaboration with “SpellChecker”

August 15, 2009

Coconut-trail (Tokyo, Japan) has announced their Note taking application for iPhone “RainbowNote” works seamlessly with Enfour’s “SpellChecker”. The function is available from the new version 1.6.0 that is available on AppStore today.

RainbowNote auto-detects SpellChecker on iPhone/iPod Touch and send “to SpellChecker (Enfour)” button appears on edit page of a note.

By tapping it, SpellChecker opens automatically with the text and you can check it in six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian or Dutch).

After finished checking, you can send the text back to RainbowNote by tapping sync(““) button. You can choose overwrite the original note or create new one.

With inter-app collaboration, you can use RainbowNote and SpellChecker as same as one application.

It would help users’ productivity as it is simple to use and much quicker than using copy-paste between two applications.

RainbowNote works fine with iPhone OS 3.0

Good stuffs in iPhone OS 3.0

Today Apple had announced the new version of iPhone OS which will be released in this summer. The one of the most important feature of iPhone 3.0 is global copy and paste support.

I’ve installed iPhone OS 3.0 beta in my iPod touch, and RainbowNote worked fine with it!  I could do copy test from Safari and paste it in RainbowNote!

It’s good news, isn’t it?

And the other important thing is Spotlight search on the iPhone. To use Spotlight to find all the memos in RainbowNote, we have to update our software.

We will work it, and I can’t wait to getting this new OS until this summer!!

February 19, 2009

Today, I went to rooms fashion trade show to see Sekai Camera.

Sekai Camera

Sekai Camera (セカイカメラ)

Sekai Camera is an iPhone application for Augmented Reality.
It looks and works like Camera app. However, within Sekai Camera, the finder view is not just for taking photo, but for showing messages, photos, etc., you or somebody put onto the space (like stickies).

I went to the booth and touched the demo machine.

Using Sekai Camera

The screen shows real world like camera finder.

Floating Tags

User generated Tags are floating at where somebody left messages / pictures.

Tapping a floating tag shows the detail ( and lists up tags near here ).

Sekai Camera is going to be released this spring.
It enables user-generated worlds overlap and enrich the reality. Exciting!
